Help My Friends Find Their Child Through Adoption

Is every Christian called to adopt? I’ve heard some say “yes.” While I don’t agree with that 100%, I DO believe all Christians are called to “care for the orphans and widows” in whatever capacity God calls them to do that.

And for that reason, I wanted to share an opportunity to do just that.

Our good friends and fellow church members, Kelsi and Cole, are praying the Lord would bring them a child through adoption. They have longed for children for many years and have been unable to conceive.

Cole and Kelsi are faithful Christians and incredible friends to their local church body. Actively involved in our church’s ministry to our children, they have been obedient servants through their teaching and encouraging of the Body.

They are generous with their time, attention and love to their nieces and nephews and to the children of their church friends and family. I know they are going to make incredible parents and so add to their efforts to build the Kingdom of God.

But they feel their family is incomplete and have asked anyone willing to consider helping.

4 Things You Can Do to Help:

Pray.

At the top of the list you can pray for Kelsi and Cole to be patient, for their faith to be strengthened through this journey, and for their child to be found soon.

Spread the word.

They are seeking adoption through private means, for several reasons, including costs, and are depending on a word of mouth campaign to find the right birth parents for them. Keep your ears open, and let people know that there is a wonderful, godly couple desperate to give a child a loving, Christian home, and call him their own.

Share.

A more practical way to spread the word is simply to share their Facebook page with your friends and family. You can visit their page here, and just copy and paste the link onto your page: https://www.facebook.com/cole.and.kelsi.s.adoption.journey

Give.

If the Lord puts it on your heart to give toward what you know, sadly, is quite an expensive venture, please do. Even a little helps. You can Venmo them directly at venmo.com//Strawn-Adoption

Lastly, THANK YOU in advance for considering helping them find their longed for child!

“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.” James 1:22–24
